When Britain withdrew from India in 1947, Kashmir, ruled principally, liberated India and Pakistan for unification. Kashmir, whose Muslim population is 90 percent Muslim, decides to join the prime of India in the era of the period, even though it took a stand in favor of joining Pakistan in 1947. Karara opposed the Muslim Kashmir people. The parties fought for the first time in 1947, with Pakistan and India sending troops to the region. There was a war between the two countries in 1965 and 1999.
45 percent of Kashmir is in India, 35 percent in Pakistan, while 20 percent of the region is dominated by China. India has taken over the territories it has taken under its own name, "Cammu Kashmir". Cammu Kashmir is the only province in India with a majority of Muslim population. Pakistan, on the other hand, gave Kashmir under its control status of two autonomous regions as "Azad Kashmir (Independent Kashmir)" and "Gilgit Baltistan".
From 1948, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) decided that the demilitarization of Kashmir should be carried out and that the future be determined by the people. The Indian army ambushed an area of Mujahideen in the town of Thindpura in the region of northern Kashmir and in the actually restricted Kapwara region between India and Pakistan.
At these times, 25-year-old Asif Iqbal was shot in the head when he left his home to relocate to a hospital with a disturbed neighbor.
Shortly after the event spread, Muslims from nearby villages began demonstrating in streets, throwing anti-Indian slogans that triggered conflicts in the region. The Indian police who attacked Kashmir Muslims injured dozens of people.
Mobile internet service in Kashmir was also closed so that the protests, which started after Iqbal's martyrdom, would not spread further. Human rights organizations report that the Indian intelligence and army in the region performed torture and many killing, while thousands of Kashmiris were taken away from their homes by the Indian army, while the protesters of Kashmir Muslims who wanted to connect to Pakistan were bloody suppressed by India. 17.07.2018 Number 213
